One of my favorite quotes is this by William Morris:
"Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."
This absolutely describes the abalone shell...It is both useful AND beautiful.
Abalone shells are often used to collect ash from smudge sticks. (PLEASE -- NEVER burn directly on the interior of the shell, as the mother-of-pearl can become toxic when it reaches high temperatures.) I also use them to hold special soaps -- like my Energy-Clearing Himalayan Salt Soap.
The shells I have listed are all 5-6" in length. They are all different and ALL are beautiful (I will select one for you).
