The Holidays are one of my favorite times of the year!

"A right jolly old elf..."

When we were kids, our dad would read The Night Before Christmas on (surprise!) the night before Christmas. The four of us kids would pile on his lap or the arms of his big ol' wing chair.

I swear we all knew the words by heart, but it didn't matter. It was DAD reading to US.

​

It was also the signal that bedtime was approaching and so were Santa and those quiet-as-a-mouse reindeer.

​

The stories we tell, the traditions we hold dear -- this is true MAGIC, friends.
